Driver Killed in Clovis Car Accident Identified as Fresno Man, 71
CLOVIS, Calif. (March 3, 2020) — Victor Johanson, 71, of Fresno, was killed and two children survived Saturday in single-vehicle crash in Clovis.
The driver crashed about 5 p.m. for unknown reasons on Minnewawa Avenue between Shaw and Barstow avenues. He was identified by the Fresno County Coroner’s Office.
The two children who were traveling in the vehicle’s backseat survived with undisclosed injuries.
Clovis police responded to the scene, but both children are expected to be okay.
It’s unknown at this time what caused the crash, but a full investigation is underway. The roadway was closed down for several hours.
