Hit-and-run Driver Arrested for DUI after Crash at Orangewood Avenue
GARDEN GROVE, Calif. (March 3, 2020) — Victor Medina, 26, of Garden Grove, was arrested following an alleged hit-and-run crash involving a bicyclist at Orangewood Avenue and Euclid Street.
The bicyclist was critically injured Monday night in the Garden Grove hit-and-run crash. Paramedics rushed the injured bicycle rider to a local hospital for treatment of major head trauma.
Police say Medina fled the scene of the 11 p.m. collision, but they found his heavily-damaged Chevrolet Suburban SUV just a short distance away from the crime scene.
He was taken into custody and charged with felony hit-and-run and DUI.
The rider reportedly had the right-of-way when the crash too place, according to the Garden Grove Police Department.
