Victor Soto Orocio ID’d Highway 180 Fatal Crash in Yokuts Valley
Man, 30, Killed; Two Injured in Head-on Collision
FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (Feb. 22, 2024) — Victor Soto Orocio, 30, of Sanger, died and two people were injured in a head-on crash Sunday morning on Highway 180 and George Smith Road near Yokuts Valley in Fresno County.
The two-vehicle collision occurred at around 5:30 a.m. on Feb. 18th, according to the California Highway Patrol and ABC 30 News.
Mr. Orocio was reportedly driving a gray Chevrolet Equinox eastbound on Highway 180 when he allegedly crossed over into westbound traffic and collided head-on with a Toyota Tundra pickup truck, the CHP said.
Two people from the pickup truck managed to exit their vehicle with injuries such as lacerations on their hands and a broken arm. They were both transported to Community Regional Medical Center for treatment of their injuries.
However, unfortunately, Victor Soto Orocio suffered major injuries and died on scene.
Finally, CHP traffic detectives are investigating the fatal crash on Highway 180, but do not suspect drugs and or alcohol were contributing factors.
