Victor Vilcapoma Zaga, 73, Killed in Rosamond Possible Hit-and-Run Crash
ROSAMOND, CA (July 19, 2021) – A possible hit-and-run crash killed Victor Vilcapoma Zaga near Matthew Avenue and 20th Street West in Rosamond.
The Kern County Coroner’s Office identified the 73-year-old man as the victim of the fatal collision which occurred on Saturday night.
The incident happened when a vehicle struck Victor Vilcapoma Zaga for an unknown reason in Rosamond. The driver hit him near the intersection of Matthew Avenue and 20th Street West.

Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived at the scene and then found the victim down on the road. Kern Golden Empire wrote that the accident took place on July 17 shortly after 9 p.m.
Victor Vilcapoma Zaga sustained major injuries as a result of the Rosamond crash. Medical personnel soon pronounced him dead.
Meanwhile, CHP believed that the motorist involved apparently did not stop to render aid to the pedestrian and fled the area. The Rosamond hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
