RIALTO, California (November 7, 2016) — Victoria Campos, 20, of Pomona has been identified as the passenger killed early Sunday morning in a collision at North Sycamore and East San Bernardino avenues, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff Coroner.
About 1:15 a.m., Campos was a passenger in a vehicle that collided with another motorist at the intersection. One of the drivers was in a Honda Accord that was allegedly traveling at a high rate of speed just prior to the collision. The Honda was heading southbound on North Sycamore Avenue when he or she lost control of the vehicle and struck the other car and a curb.
Paramedics responded to the scene, but the woman died before they had a chance to transport her to a hospital.
The Colton Police Department is heading up the investigation into the crash to determine liability for the woman’s death.
