Authorities were notified of the hit-and-run at 7:20 p.m. after the boy who had been riding a bike was struck at Center Street and Lacy Street.
The vehicle described as a tan mini-van proceeded to flee the scene and continue on southbound Center Street before turning onto Hesperia Road.
Per the Victor Valley News, the boy was initially taken to Victor Valley Global Med Center before being flown to Loma Linda University Med Center. He remains in serious condition with a head injury.
Police officials are currently looking for the hit-and-run suspect who remains at large.
