2 Injured in Violent Crash on Bear Valley Road in Victorville
VICTORVILLE, Calif. (May 24, 2018) — A man and woman were injured Wednesday night following a two-vehicle collision on Bear Valley Road at Apatite Street, according to a report by the Victor Valley News.
The crash took place just before 8:00 p.m. on Bear Valley Road between a Chevrolet Tahoe SUV and a car. The dark-colored SUV reportedly cut into the path of the sedan and was T-boned by the passenger vehicle. Both vehicles suffered major damage in the crash.
The 34-year-old man driving the SUV was trapped in his vehicle after the crash. After firefighters freed him from the wreckage, he was taken by ambulance to Desert Valley Hospital and later airlifted from there to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center.
A 31-year-old female was driving the other vehicle that reportedly crashed through the side door of the SUV. She suffered minor to moderate injuries and was also hospitalized.
San Bernardino County Accident Investigation
Police are investigating what caused this crash, and ultimately, who is responsible. Early indications are the driver of the SUV was at fault when he cut off the other driver, but the circumstances are still under investigation. It’s unknown whether or not speed was a factor or alcohol.
If a negligent driver or another entity is at fault for a collision resulting in injuries to you or a loved one, there may be grounds for a personal injury or wrongful death claim. While this is always a personal decision, for many the financial losses associated with a traffic accident are significant. The losses include time lost off work, medical and funeral expenses, loss of consortium and pain and suffering.
