VICTORVILLE: Rear-End Car Crash Leads to Pedestrian Being Struck at Amargosa and Hook
Andrea Pettaway, 24, Hit and Seriously Injured
At 12:14 p.m., the driver of a Mazda had been stopped at a red light prior to being rear-ended from behind by a woman driver a silver Range Rover.
The rear-end collision was so forceful that it pushed the Mazda into a female pedestrian who had the right of way who had been crossing the road within a marked crosswalk. She was identified in The Daily Press as Andrea Pettaway.
Per the Victorville Valley News, the victim, a 24-year-old woman, sustained major injuries to her head and was flown to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center. The latest on her condition has not been updated at this time.
The article included that both drivers of the Mazda and Range Rover were believed to have been injured and taken to hospitals.
