Pickup and Car in T-Bone Crash on Ridgecrest Road
VICTORVILLE, Calif. (March 22, 2022) — A Victorville crash on Ridgecrest Road involved two vehicles near Yates Road near the community of Spring Valley Lake.
The T-bone traffic collision happened about 4:52 a.m. on March 20th between a pickup truck pulling a travel trailer and a sedan, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Victorville City Fire joined California Highway Patrol deputies at the scene of the Victorville crash. They located a Ford F-250 pickup truck hauling a 22-foot trailer that had crashed into the passenger side of a black BMW sedan. Fortunately, no one was seriously hurt in the collision.
Witnesses told authorities the driver in the BMW was allegedly speeding. The motorist reportedly lost control when the vehicle entered a curve in the roadway. The car hit the dirt and spun around sideways. Meanwhile, the oncoming pickup truck was unable to stop and T-boned the car. The car suffered major side damage in the crash.
Also, a teenager in the back seat of the truck suffered lacerations on their head from a broken window on the 5th wheel.
It’s unknown if the driver of the BMW suffered injuries, but the person was alert and talking.
Finally, investigators are working on the case and will determine fault for the crash.
