Owner Bit by Dog at Victorville Home
VICTORVILLE, Calif. (Dec. 16, 2024) — A man was injured in a dog attack Sunday afternoon on Jasmine Street near Pismo Lane in Victorville.
Paramedics transported the man to a trauma center following the dog attack in the 16500 block of Jasmine Street around 12:18 p.m. on Sunday, December 15th, according to a report by the Victorville fire and police departments.
Emergency crews responded to the home where the man was reportedly bit in his backyard. He had tried to break up a fight between his two American XL Bully dogs when another one of his dogs bit his arm.
Paramedics rushed him to Desert Valley Hospital and he was airlifted to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center.
Victorville Animal Control Officers removed two dogs from the backyard and they will be quarantined for 10 days for observation and assessment.
It’s unknown if the dogs are a threat to public safety, but the City will hold a vicious dog hearing before an administrative judge to determine their future.
