Man Hit and Badly Injured by Vehicle in Parking Lot on Mariposa Road
VICTORVILLE (August 14, 2018) – An unidentified man was injured after being struck by a vehicle in a parking lot on Mariposa Road early Monday, according to Daily Press.
Primary reports indicated a silver 2007 Honda Accord rear-ended another car in the McDonald’s parking lot located in the 12100 block of Mariposa Road around 12:38 a.m.
The male driver in the rear-ended vehicle reportedly got out his car to check on the damage, when for unknown reasons, the woman in the Accord allegedly intentionally hit the man.
Injury Hit-and-Run Accident Monday in Victorville
The male party suffered serious head trauma as a result of the impact. As per the article, the victim was placed on a gurney while being treated at the scene, but ultimately decided to drive himself to the hospital. The name of the victim have not been disclosed thus far.
Meanwhile, officials mentioned the woman driving the Accord evaded the scene and headed south on Mariposa Road. When the suspect reached the intersection at Bear Valley and Mariposa roads, the woman apparently ran a red light and crashed into the trailer section of a passing semi.
Responding emergency teams, found the woman pinned under the truck. As per the article, the female party was extricated by the San Bernardino County Fire Department personnel.
Alana Joerger Arrested After Victorville DUI Hit-and-Run Accident
Authorities identified the woman as 36-year-old Alana Marie Joerger, of Hesperia. Officials said when Joerger is released from the hospital, she will face charges of driving under the influence and hit-and-run with injuries.
