VICTORVILLE (August 11, 2018) – One was killed and two others were injured after a traffic collision along Hesperia Road early Saturday, according to Victor Valley News.

The accident involving two vehicles took place just after 12:00 a.m.

As per the article, a witness told the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department that a purple 2006 Toyota Scion TC was going north on Hesperia Road when the motorist lost control of the car.

The Scion then went into the southbound lanes and was rear-ended by a 2001 Chevrolet Suburban.

The front-seat male passenger in the Scion was flown to a trauma center and remains on life support. The operator of the Suburban was transported by ground ambulance to a trauma center with moderate injuries. Their names were not released.

A forensic examination of the Toyota Scion TC and the Chevrolet Suburban, as well as photos that were taken of the scene, will help investigators determine what exactly led to the tragic crash. Authorities will thoroughly look into the speed of each driver, whether or not alcohol or drugs played a role, whether or not there were any mechanical issues with the cars, and whether or not one of the drivers was distracted or simply did not yield to the right of way motorist. The investigation will also consist of looking at measurements of evidence left by both vehicles such as point of impact, their final resting positions, skid marks, and gouge marks.

Pending the results and findings of the investigation for this collision, the injured and held not responsible for the wreck will be granted the right to file a personal injury lawsuit seeking a compensation for all the medical expenses and hospital bills, pain and suffering, and lost future income.
