1 Killed, 2 Injured in Victorville Crash at Highway 395 and La Mesa Road
VICTORVILLE, CA (August 12, 2022) – A crash killed one person and injured two others at Highway 395 and La Mesa Road in Victorville.
According to an article published by the Victor Valley News, the tragic accident took place late Thursday night. Officers reported the wreck at about 11:04 p.m.
The incident happened on August 11 when a vehicle was going west on La Mesa Road, approaching Highway 395, in Victorville. At the same time, another car was traveling north on the highway.
2 Cars Collide
For an unknown reason, the northbound vehicle broadsided the other car in the intersection. Witnesses described the cars as a red Hyundai and a blue Infiniti.
Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived and soon pronounced the driver of the westbound vehicle dead at the scene. The two occupants of the second car ended up hurt as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then rushed both patients to a hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries. The names of the deceased and wounded parties have not been yet released.
Meanwhile, police forced a stretch of Highway 395 to shut down for several hours near La Mesa following the wreck. The cause of the fatal Victorville crash is still under investigation.
