1 Killed, 1 Injured in Victorville Crash on Amargosa Road Near Tawney Ridge Lane
VICTORVILLE, CA (April 11, 2021) – A car crash killed one person and injured another along Amargosa Road in Victorville.
According to an article published by the Victor Valley News, the tragic accident occurred on Sunday night. Officers reported the wreck shortly after 9:30 p.m.
The incident began when a San Bernardino County sheriff’s deputy was driving a Victorville police cruiser north on Amargosa Road. He was responding to an accident on Innovation Way at the time.
Another Deadly Collision on Innovation Way
A 2012 BMW attempting to turn from Tawney Ridge Lane onto Amargosa then collided with the patrol unit. The BMW rolled onto the sidewalk on the southbound side of Amargosa Road.
Firefighters along with the paramedics responded and pronounced the driver of the BMW, a man in his early 20s, dead at the scene.
Medical personnel took the deputy to a local hospital for treatment of minor injuries. The name of the deceased and wounded parties have not been yet released.
Meanwhile, officials confirmed that one person died in the collision that the deputy was initially responding to. The causes of the fatal Victorville crashes are still under investigation.
