Pedestrian Killed in Victorville Crash Near Amargosa Road and Dakota Street
VICTORVILLE, CA (June 27, 2021) – A pedestrian was killed after a crash near Amargosa Road and Dakota Street in Victorville.
The Victor Valley News wrote that the fatal accident took place on Saturday night. Officers reported the incident on June 26 shortly before 10 p.m.
A vehicle struck a male pedestrian for an unknown reason near the intersection of Amargosa Road and Dakota Street in Victorville.
Deputies said the driver was going north on Amargosa when they hit the person. Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived near the Winco shopping center and found the victim lying on the ground.

Medical personnel soon pronounced him dead at the scene. His name remains unreleased pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, deputies affirmed that the motorist stopped after hitting the person. The driver stayed at the site and cooperated with the officers.
Deputies forced Amargosa to shut down in both directions between Mojave Drive and Hook Boulevard following the crash. The cause of the Victorville pedestrian collision is still under investigation.
