Pedestrian Killed in Victorville Crash on D Street Near 11th Street
VICTORVILLE, CA (August 30, 2022) – A crash killed a pedestrian along D Street in the city of Victorville.
According to an article published by the Victor Valley News, the tragic accident took place on Tuesday morning. Officers reported the collision at about 7:31 a.m.
The incident happened when a silver four-door Chevy sedan struck a female pedestrian in Victorville. Police said the car hit her as she walked across D Street near the intersection with 11th Street.
Woman Hit by Car
Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived and then found the woman down on the ground. She sustained serious injuries as a result of the incident.
Medical personnel soon pronounced the victim dead. Her name has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, police added that the driver of the Chevy stopped and stayed at the site after hitting the woman. Officers forced D Street going to Apple Valley to shut down for a time following the incident.
The cause of the fatal Victorville pedestrian crash is still under investigation.
