Major Injury Collision at Victorville Intersection

VICTORVILLE, Calif. (March 22, 2024) — One person with major injuries was airlifted to a hospital after a head-on crash Friday morning in Victorville at Air Expressway Boulevard and Phantom West.

A second person was taken by ambulance to a hospital after the 5:49 a.m. collision on March 22, 2024, according to Victor Valley News Group.

Two vehicles collided at the intersection near the Dr Pepper/Snapple Warehouse, the report said.

The drivers of a gray 2012 Nissan Altima and a silver 2002 Honda Accord were involved and both vehicles had major front-end damage.

Paramedics and firefighters from the the Victorville City Fire Department responded to the scene and located two people with injuries.

One was taken to a trauma center hospital by helicopter and the other was transported by ground ambulance with undisclosed injuries.

The Victorville Police Department is heading up the investigation into the crash on Air Expressway to determine fault.
