VICTORVILLE: Man Killed in Pedestrian Accident on 15 Freeway at Dale Evans Parkway

VICTORVILLE, California (April 11, 2014) –  A pedestrian was killed early Friday morning when they were hit by a driver on the Interstate 15 Freeway, just south of Dale Evans Parkway, according to a press release by the San Bernardino County Sheriff Coroner.

About 3:14 a.m., CHP officers and Sheriff’s deputies responded to a 911 call about an adult male Hispanic who was struck by the driver of a Cadillac Escalade while walking in the southbound No. 1 lane of the 15 Freeway.

American Medical Response paramedics also responded to the Victorville accident and upon their arrival pronounced the man dead at the scene due to major injuries sustained in the pedestrian accident.

The pedestrian accident is under investigation by the California Highway  Patrol.

“This is a tragedy for the family of this man as they learn about his sudden loss this morning,” said Attorney James Johnson. “Police will issue a report determining liability for this crash after they investigate what exactly happened here today.”
