VICTORVILLE, Calif. (April 6, 2022) — A Victorville motorcycle accident happened Tuesday at La Mesa Road, just west of Mesa Linda Avenue.
The two-vehicle collision occurred at 2:53 pm, on April 5, 2022, according to the Victor Valley News.
The motorcycle rider allegedly crashed into the back side of a black Acura SUV due to unknown circumstances.
A witness told authorities the rider was moving on the ground near a curb and was kicking his legs. It appeared the man didn’t want anyone to touch him as he lay injured in the roadway, police said.
Someone called 911 for help and paramedics responded to the scene. Victorville City Fire arrived and a helicopter landed at Liberty Park. A ground ambulance drove the injured man to the park and he was transported the rider by helicopter to a trauma center for treatment of major injuries.
Meanwhile, Victorville City Public Works employees set up a hard road closure on La Mesa Road.
Investigators are working on the case and will determine fault for the crash.
