Walmart Truck Hits Pedestrian in Fatal Crash
VICTORVILLE, Calif. (Oct. 2, 2023) — A fatal Victorville pedestrian accident involving a Walmart truck happened early Sunday on the southbound Interstate 15 freeway in Victorville.
The collision occurred at around 3:04 a.m. on Sunday, October 1st, just north of the Stoddard Wells Road off-ramp, according to the California Highway Patrol dispatch.
A driver in a Walmart semi-truck struck the victim due to unknown circumstances and then pulled over and stopped on the shoulder of the freeway.
The truck driver called 911 for help and paramedics responded to the freeway crash scene and located the pedestrian already deceased in traffic lanes.
Authorities requested CalTrans make a hard closure of the Nos. 3 and 4 lanes.
The coroner responded to take the person’s body, but they have not identified the victim.
The circumstances leading up to the Victorville pedestrian accident on the Interstate 15 Freeway remain under investigation by the California Highway Patrol Victorville station.
