Pedestrian Injured in Victorville Hit-and-Run at Topaz and La Mesa Roads

VICTORVILLE, CA (August 2, 2021) – A pedestrian was injured after a hit-and-run crash at Topaz Road and La Mesa Road in Victorville.

According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the accident took place on Monday night. Officers reported the incident at about 8:33 p.m.

CHP said a vehicle struck the pedestrian for an unknown reason in Victorville. The driver hit the person at the intersection of Topaz Road and La Mesa Road.

Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near the Mesa Linda Middle School. They found the victim who ended up hurt as a result of the collision.

Medical personnel then treated the patient for the unspecified injuries they sustained in the accident. Officials did not release the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.

Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that that the motorist did not stop to help the victim and fled the area. The Victorville hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.

Officers forced the intersection of Topaz and La Mesa roads to shut down for a time following the collision.
