Virginia Dougherty, 84, Killed in Oxnard Crash at H Street and Holly Avenue
OXNARD, CA (November 8, 2021) – Virginia Dougherty was killed after a car crash at H Street and Holly Avenue in Oxnard.
The Medical Examiner’s Office identified the 84-year-old Oxnard woman as the victim of the fatal wreck last week on Friday.
The incident began Virginia Dougherty was driving a Toyota Tacoma west on Holly Avenue, approaching Holly Avenue, in Oxnard. At the same time, a Dodge Durango was going north on H Street.
Man, 40, Injured in Collision
Police said for an unknown reason, the two cars collided in the intersection. The Ventura County Star and KEYT News wrote that the accident took place on November 5 at around 4:43 p.m.
Virginia Dougherty sustained critical injuries as a result of the crash. Paramedics rushed her to the Ventura County Medical Center, where she died.
Police added that the driver of the Dodge, a 40-year-old Oxnard man, ended up with minor wounds. Medical personnel took him to the Community Memorial Hospital for further aid.
