Virginia Martin Injured in Solano County Crash on Suisun Valley Road
SOLANO COUNTY, CA (November 19, 2022) – A fatal crash on Suisun Valley Road injured Virginia Martin near Fairfield in Solano County.
The California Highway Patrol identified the driver as one of the victims in the wreck which took place on Friday.
The incident happened when Virginia Martin, of Fairfield, was driving a Chrysler north on Suisun Valley Road in Solano County. At the same time, a Mazda was going south.
For an unknown reason, the Mazda left the southbound lane and slammed into a Honda traveling north. The Mazda continued southbound and struck a tree in the area.
Multiple Cars Collide
The Mazda then re-entered the road, swerved to the right and hit the Chrysler. The Daily Republic and The Reporter wrote that the accident occurred shortly after 6:05 p.m.
CHP said Virginia Martin sustained minor injuries as a result of the crash near Morrison Lane. Paramedics rushed her to the NorthBay Medical Center for further treatment.
The driver of the Mazda, a 38-year-old woman, and one of her passengers, an 11-year-old girl, died following the collision. A 6-year-old boy riding with them survived with minor wounds.
The motorist in the Honda, 56-year-old Fairfield resident Janice Berry, ended up unharmed. A 3-year-old boy with her suffered minor injuries after the incident.
