Virginia Turcotte, 69, Killed in Serra Mesa Crash at Ruffin and Village Glen
SAN DIEGO (December 25, 2018) – A pedestrian was killed after a traffic accident at Ruffin Road and Village Glen Drive Mesa in Serra Mesa Monday evening, according to San Diego Union-Tribune and NBC San Diego.
The victim has been identified as 65-year-old Virginia Turcotte, of San Diego.
As per the reports, police said Turcotte was walking at the intersection of Ruffin Road and Village Glen Drive when for an unknown reason she was struck by a vehicle.

The car was traveling north when it hit the woman who was within a marked crosswalk at the time. The collision occurred at about 7:10 p.m., a few blocks south of Aero Drive.
Paramedics responded to the scene and found Turcotte lying in the roadway suffering from major injuries. She was immediately transported to Sharp Memorial Hospital where she later died.
Meanwhile, the 16-year-old boy driving the vehicle involved reportedly stopped after hitting Turcotte and cooperated with the officials.
The cause of the incident remains under investigation.
