2 Killed in Car Accident at Whitendale and Demaree
Visalia, CA (March 15, 2023) – Two people died following a traffic accident that occurred in the area of Whitendale Avenue and Demaree Street, the FOX26 News reported.
Our sources indicated two vehicles collided at the intersection in Visalia Wednesday afternoon, March 15. According to the article published online, a GMC truck was heading north down Demaree. For reasons still unclear, the driver of the GMC allowed the vehicle to veer into the southbound side of the road. Officials said the truck ended up slamming into a Cadillac sedan.
Shortly after 12:21 p.m., rescue teams arrived at the location. Responding paramedics found the driver and passenger in the sedan both unconscious. Despite life-saving efforts performed by paramedics, the victims sadly succumbed to their injuries and passed away. Authorities continue to withhold the identities of the deceased pending confirmation and notification of next of kin.

Meanwhile, the driver of the GMC was reportedly taken to Kaweah Medical Center after the incident. The motorist received treatment for unspecified injuries.
Detectives assigned to handle the case stayed at the scene the whole afternoon. They continue to work to determine the precise cause of the fatal crash that happened at Whitendale Avenue and Demaree Street.
