At Least 1 Killed in Traffic Collision on Highway 198 Saturday
Visalia, CA (July 17, 2021) – One person suffered fatal injuries following a car crash that occurred on Highway 198 Saturday afternoon.
According to the Visalia Times Delta, a single-vehicle rolled over on the eastbound lanes of the highway near Ben Maddox offramp.
Primary reports indicated the catastrophic incident involved a Toyota Camry. It remained unclear how many people were in the car at the time of the collision.
Deadly Car Crash in Visalia, July 17
Shortly after 12:20 p.m., emergency teams arrived at the accident scene. The Visalia Fire Department, the Visalia Police Department, and California Highway Patrol group all responded to the incident.
Authorities later confirmed one person sadly died as a result of the collision. Pending confirmation and notification of next of kin, the identity of the deceased remained undisclosed.
Further investigation on the fatal car crash on Highway 198 is underway.
