Driver Killed in Collision Near Avenue 264
Visalia, CA (July 16, 2022) – One person died following a traffic accident that occurred on Highway 99 Friday evening, the ABC News reported.
Our sources indicated two vehicles crashed into each other on the highway, just north of Avenue 264. According to the article published online, an Inglewood resident was behind the wheel of a car traveling on SR-99 around 7:30 p.m. As the Inglewood driver approached the area near Avenue 264, they collided into another vehicle.
The force from the impact caused the one car to overturn and slam against the center concrete wall.
Deadly Car Accident on Highway 99 in Visalia
When rescue teams arrived at the location, they found one person unconscious. Responding paramedics performed life-saving measures to the victim, but they sadly succumbed to their injuries and passed way. Authorities only identified the deceased as a 77-year-old man.
Meanwhile, the driver of the Nissan appeared unharmed after the incident.
Detectives stayed at the scene the whole evening. They continue to investigate exactly how and why the crash happened on Highway 99 in Visalia.
