Man, 32, Killed in Car Accident
VISALIA, Calif. (June 21, 2023) – A 32-year-old man died after being hit after exiting his crashed car in the center divider on Highway 99 in Visalia.
Another driver struck his disabled vehicle and pushed it into the victim while he stood nearby.
The deadly crash happened around 10 p.m. on Tuesday, June 20th, north of Avenue 328, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Police say the victim was traveling in his vehicle southbound on Highway 99 when for unknown reasons he veered to the left and crashed into the concrete wall, Your Central Valley reports. The man exited his car and stood near the driver’s side when a second driver hit his vehicle. His own vehicle spun around and hit him.
Paramedics responded and rushed both drivers to a hospital, but sadly the 32-year-old man from the first collision later died.
The name of the man who died will be released after his relatives are notified. There is no further information on the second driver’s identity.
The CHP is handling the investigation into the Visalia crash on Highway 99.
