Motorcyclist Killed in Visalia Crash at Walnut Avenue and Garden Street
VISALIA, CA (November 5, 2021) – A crash killed a motorcyclist at Walnut Avenue and Garden Street in Visalia.
According to an article published by The Visalia Times Delta, the tragic accident took place on Thursday night. Officers reported the wreck around 8 p.m.
The incident happened on November 4 when a 1998 Toyota 4Runner was going east on Walnut Avenue, approaching Garden Street, in Visalia.
Police said the SUV then made a left turn onto Garden. In the process, the car collided with the rider of a 2016 Harley Davidson motorcycle in the intersection.
Motorcycle and Car Collide
Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived at the scene and found the motorcyclist down on the ground. He sustained major injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel soon rushed the 39-year-old man to the Kaweah Health Medical Center, where he died on Friday. His name has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, police affirmed that the 26-year-old man driving the Toyota ended up unharmed following the wreck. Officers forced the area of Walnut and Garden to shut down for hours after the incident.
The cause of the fatal Visalia crash is still under investigation. Anyone with information can call the police at 734-8117.
