Woman Struck, Killed by Car at Santa Fe Street and Walnut Avenue
VISALIA (September 8, 2017) – A fatal pedestrian accident occurred on Santa Fe Street, also known as Road 128, according to ABC 30.
The article report was posted on Friday at 2:31 p.m. but the exact time when the female pedestrian was fatally struck was unclear.
Officials said the woman was likely crossing the street near Walnut Avenue intersection when she was hit by a 1999 Chevrolet of unspecified built. The victim apparently died of her injuries before being taken to a hospital.

Meanwhile, police have identified the involved motorist as 21-year-old Jon Mello, of Tulare. It was not immediately known Mello remained at the scene following the crash.
Investigators continue to work on determining the circumstances that led to the deadly accident.
