Driver Who Fled Hit-and-run Crash is Detained

VISALIA, Calif. (Nov. 28, 2023) – A hit-and-run car accident in Visalia happened Tuesday morning at Goshen Avenue and Mooney Boulevard.

The two-vehicle collision occurred at around 7 a.m. on Nov. 28th, according to the Visalia Police Department.

Police responded to the scene and found one person with injuries who told them the second driver fled the scene, Your Central Valley News reports. Authorities managed to locate the suspect at his home where they held him on suspicion of DUI as they await results of toxicology testing.

Meanwhile, the injured person was taken to a hospital for treatment of undisclosed injuries.

The case remains under investigation to determine fault.
