Man, 26, Badly Hurt in Visalia Hit-and-Run
DATE OF INCIDENT: Wednesday, May 30th
May 31st– According to the Visalia Times-Delta, a major injury hit-and-run crash involving two vehicles took place last night during the early evening at the intersection of Riggin Avenue and Road 72.
Authorities responded to the crash location just after 5:00 p.m. directly in front of the Goshen’s Family Healthcare Center.
Reports have confirmed that the driver of a Honda blew through the intersection failing to stop for a stop sign colliding with a PT Cruiser driven by a 26-year-old man from Goshen.
Victim Taken to Kaweah Delta Medical Center
The impact came on the driver’s side door of the PT Cruiser causing very serious injuries to the 26-year-old man who was quickly given medical attention before being rushed to Kaweah Delta Med Center by ambulance after being pinned inside the vehicle.
Following the crash, the driver of the Honda fled the scene on foot and has not been found as of Thursday morning.
Police officials are looking for a Hispanic male with long hair as it is believed the suspect likely lives in the area.
No further details have been released at this time as the investigation is currently ongoing.
