2 Hospitalized After Collision at Main Street and Vista Village
Vista, CA (August 29, 2022) – Two people suffered injuries following a traffic accident that occurred in the area of Main Street and Vista Village.
The FOX5 News reported two vehicles collided at the intersection in Vista Sunday evening. Our sources indicated the wreck involved a Scion, and a Ford Mustang. The force from the impact caused the Scion to veer off the roadway. Officials said the car continued moving until it slammed against tree and concrete wall.
Shortly after 8:30 p.m., rescue teams arrived at the location. Responding emergency crews found the Scion fully engulfed in flames. According to the article published online, an active duty U.S. Marine and U.S. Navy Corpsman witnessed the incident and grabbed fire extinguishers from nearby establishments. The two military members pulled out the parties trapped in the fiery wreckage.
Officials said one person was airlifted, and another was taken by a ground ambulance to the hospital for further treatment and evaluation. The names of people hurt in the collision remained undisclosed pending confirmation.
At this time, detectives continue to investigate exactly how and why the crash happened at Main Street and Vista Village.
