6 Injured in Crash Near East Vista Way and Warmlands Avenue
VISTA, CA (July 5, 2021) – Several were hospitalized after a car crash on East Vista Way near Warmlands Avenue in Vista.
According to an article published by the San Diego Union-Tribune, the accident occurred on Monday morning. Officers reported the wreck shortly before 6 a.m.
The sheriff’s department said two vehicles collided for an unknown reason on East Vista Way near the intersection with Warmlands Avenue.
2 Cars Collide in Vista
Deputies described the cars involved as a 2019 Toyota and a 2003 BMW. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene and extricated one trapped occupant from the wreckage.
A total of six people ended up hurt as a result of the collision. Medical personnel took them to area hospitals, including Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla, for treatment of unspecified injuries.
Officials did not disclose the names of the wounded parties and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, officers forced a portion of East Vista Way to shut down for about an hour following the crash.
Authorities are still determining the cause of the wreck.
