1 Killed, 1 Severely Injured
VISTA, California (April 11, 2016) – A deadly collision was reported at South Santa Fe Avenue and Civic Center Drive early Saturday, according to UT San Diego.
Sheriff’s department said a BMW and a Honda collided shortly after midnight. The BMW rolled over, coming to a stop in a nearby parking lot.
As per the article, at the same time the Honda slammed into a traffic signal pole. Its male driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
He was identified by the medical examiner’s office as 35-year-old Richard One Lee, of Vista.
NBC San Diego meanwhile reported that the motorist in the BMW was immediately transported to Palomar Medical Center with injuries described as life-threatening.
The cause of the incident remains under investigation.
