Passenger Killed in Collision Near Grapevine Road Wednesday
Vista, CA (November 10, 2021) – One person died following a suspected hit-and-run crash that occurred on West Vista Way Wednesday evening.
The San Diego Union-Tribune published an article online reporting a car collided with a truck near Grapevine Road in Vista. Officials mentioned the catastrophic incident took place front of a popular Mexican market and the Boomers amusement park.
Shortly after 4 p.m., rescue teams arrived at the accident scene. Deputies and paramedics found the silver Mazda pinned underneath the rear of the EDCO truck.

Our sources indicated the driver of the car abandoned the vehicle, and an unconscious passenger. Despite life-saving measures, the passenger succumbed to their injuries and died. Police continue to withhold the identity of the deceased pending confirmation and notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, no immediate information was available on the driver that fled the scene. Detectives continue to investigate several factors surrounding the deadly hit-and-ru crash on West Vista Way.
