
Pedestrian Killed in Vista Crash Near Taylor Street and Cresthaven Drive
VISTA, CA (March 18, 2023) – A crash killed a pedestrian near Taylor Street and Cresthaven Drive in Vista.
According to the San Diego Union Tribune and FOX 5 News, the tragic accident took place on Friday night. Officers reported the collision on March 17 at about 8 p.m.
The incident happened when a male pedestrian was crossing just east of the Vista intersection. He was walking in the area of Taylor Street and Cresthaven Drive.
At the same time, a Ford Escape was going west on Taylor. The sheriff’s officials said for an unknown reason, the car struck the man.
Man Hit by Car
Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived at the scene and then found the victim down on the ground. He sustained serious injuries as a result of the accident.
Medical personnel rushed the patient to a hospital, where he soon died. His name has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, deputies added that the driver of the Ford stopped and stayed at the site following the incident. Officers forced the area of Taylor and Cresthaven to shut down for a time after the collision.
