
Passenger Killed in Car Accident Near Wards and Camache
Wallace, CA (January 19, 2023) – One person died following a suspected DUI collision that occurred on State Route Highway 12, according to My Motherlode News.
Robert Hooe Injured in Wallace Traffic Collision
Earlier reports indicated two vehicles collided near the intersection of in the area of Wards Avenue and Camache Reservoir. On Wednesday, January 18, an eastbound 2001 Ford Taurus veered off the highway and the driver later overcorrected. Our sources indicated the Ford careened into the opposite lanes and ended up crashing into a 1999 Buick driven by 73-year-old Robert Hooe.
Shortly after 11:44 a.m., rescue teams arrived at the accident scene. Responding paramedics immediately rendered aid to all parties involved in the wreck. After the evaluation, medical personnel sadly confirmed the passenger in the Ford sadly died in the collision. Authorities only identified the deceased as a 23-year-old Stockton woman.
Officials added the driver of the Buick, Robert Hooe, sustained minor injuries as a result of the accident.
According to the article published online, the driver of the Ford showed signs of intoxication during the investigation process. Police reportedly arrested the DUI suspect at the scene, then transported him to a hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries.
Further investigation is ongoing on the deadly car accident that happened on Highway 12 in Wallace.
