Walmart Truck in Fatal Head-on Crash Highway 395, in Atolia – Near Randsburg

SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY, Calif. (April 3, 2025) — A head-on crash involving a Walmart semi-truck and a car happened in the Mojave Desert early Thursday on Highway 395 in the Atolia area, just south of Randsburg, San Bernardino County.
The two-vehicle collision occurred around 4:09 a.m. on April 3rd, just north of the Atolia Mining Camp, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported a small black sedan came to rest in the southbound lanes and the semi-truck was facing northbound in the southbound lanes of US 395, the report said. The truck had major front-end damage and both vehicles required a tow truck.
Paramedics responded, however, emergency responders requested the San Bernardino County Sheriff-Coroner at 4:46 a.m. due to at least one fatality.
Investigators are working to determine fault for the fatal truck crash on Highway 395 in Atolia.
