
1 Killed in Walnut Creek Crash at Treat Boulevard and Alderwood Road
WALNUT CREEK, CA (April 2, 2023) – A crash killed at least one person at Treat Boulevard and Alderwood Road in Walnut Creek.
According to a report published by the East Bay Times, the tragic accident took place on Sunday morning. Officers reported the wreck on April 2 at about 5:35 a.m.
The incident happened when two cars collided for an unknown reason in Walnut Creek. The vehicles crashed at the intersection of Treat Boulevard and Alderwood Road.
2 Cars Collide
A California Highway Patrol dispatch described the cars involved as a white van and a silver Honda Accord. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near the Interstate 680.
Medical personnel confirmed that one individual died as a result of the collision. The name of the deceased party has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, CHP forced the area of Treat and Alderwood to shut down for a time following the crash. The cause of the fatal Walnut Creek wreck is still under investigation.
