2 Men Dead, 2 Women Seriously Injured in Walnut Creek Solo-Car Accident
WALNUT CREEK (August 12, 2018) – Two men were killed and two women were seriously injured after an alleged DUI crash off Highway 24 early Sunday morning, according to East Bay Times and NBC Bay Area.
The solo-car accident was reported at 4:01 a.m.
As per the reports, California Highway Patrol said 18-year-old Ramya Ramey was driving a silver 2000 Honda Civic east on Highway 24 approaching the Interstate 680 interchange when she allegedly allowed the vehicle to swerve completely off the highway.

The Honda then rolled over and crashed onto Boulevard Circle. The force of the collision caused major damage to the car.
CHP affirmed that two 18-year-old men riding as passengers in the Civic died at the scene. A fourth occupant, a 18-year-old Oakley woman, was taken to John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek with major injuries.
The names of the deceased and wounded victim have not been yet released. Meanwhile, Ramey was also hospitalized with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
The Antioch woman was placed under arrest for multiple counts of felony manslaughter for killing two of her passengers and multiple counts of felony DUI, causing major injuries to her other passengers.
