Pedestrian Struck, Killed on 14 Freeway
SANTA CLARITA, Calif. (July 17, 2023) – Walter Ubaldo Rodriguez, 57, was struck and killed Saturday night in a truck accident on the Antelope Valley (14) Freeway in Santa Clarita.
The fatal pedestrian accident occurred around 8:07 p.m. on Saturday, July 15th in the northbound lanes of the Antelope Valley Freeway, just south of Sand Canyon Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A semi-truck and a U-Haul box truck reportedly hit Walter Rodriguez in the Nos. 3 and 4 lanes due to unknown circumstances, the CHP and a Hometown News Santa Clarita report. He suffered major injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators are working on the case to determine fault for the Santa Clarita pedestrian accident.
