Motorcyclist Fatal Victim in Collision on San Diego (405) Freeway Friday
Gardena, CA (October 3, 2021) – Walter Romero, a 36-year-old San Pedro resident, died following a traffic accident that occurred on Interstate 405, also known as San Diego Freeway.
According to My News LA, the man was riding a motorcycle heading south on the freeway in Gardena. When Walter Romero approached the area near Western Avenue, he reportedly crashed.
It remained unclear at this time if another vehicle contributed to the collision.

Shortly after 4:30 a.m., rescue teams arrived at the site. First responders found Walter Romero lying unconscious on the ground. Paramedics reportedly performed life-saving measures to the victim but he sadly succumbed to his injuries and died.
Several factors surrounding the deadly motorcycle accident remained unclear. Given that, investigators continue to work to determine exactly how and why the catastrophic incident happened.
