Female Passenger Injured in Crash on Highway 46
WASCO, Calif. (August 16, 2024) — A two-vehicle car accident happened Thursday in Wasco California on Highway 46, just west of Magnolia Avenue in Kern County.
The traffic accident occurred at around 5:19 PM on Thursday afternoon on August 15th 2024, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A white pickup truck and a dark grey pickup truck collided due to unknown circumstances on Highway 46 in Wasco California. Both vehicles were on the right side of the highway, and debris from the impact of the crash had scattered all over the highway. CHP officials reported the white pickup truck caught on fire during the collision.
Also, a female passenger got out of her vehicle and needed medical assistance so the CHP called an ambulance. A tow truck was also needed to remove the car fully engulfed in flames.
Paramedics responded and located those with injuries and transported them to a nearby hospital for treatment of unknown injuries.
Investigators are working to determine who is at fault for the accident in Wasco California on Highway 46.
