2 Injured in Wasco Crash at Scofield Avenue and McCombs Road
WASCO, CA (August 19, 2021) – Two were injured after a car crash at Scofield Avenue and McCombs Road in Wasco.
According to an article published by The Bakersfield Californian, the accident took place late Thursday morning. Officers reported the wreck at around 11:40 a.m.
The Kern County Sheriff’s Office said two vehicles collided for an unknown reason in Wasco. They crashed at the intersection of Scofield Avenue and McCombs Road.
2 Vehicles Collide
Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived at the scene and then extricated one trapped occupant from the wreckage. Both drivers ended up hurt as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel soon took one patient to a hospital for treatment of major injuries. They treated the other motorist for the minor injuries they sustained in the incident.
Officials did not disclose the names of the wounded parties and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, the impact left a utility pole damaged and knocked down utility lines.
Officers forced the area of Scofield Avenue and McCombs Road to shut down for hours following the wreck. The cause of the Wasco crash is still under investigation.
