1 Killed, 2 Injured in Wasco Crash Near Magnolia Avenue and Kimberlina Road
WASCO, CA (July 26, 2022) – A car crash killed at least one person near Magnolia Avenue and Kimberlina Road in Wasco.
According to the Bakersfield Now and Kern Golden Empire, the tragic accident took place on Tuesday night. Officers reported the wreck at around 9:45 p.m.
The California Highway Patrol said two vehicles collided for an unknown reason south of Wasco. They crashed near the intersection of Magnolia Avenue and Kimberlina Road.
2 Cars Collide
A CHP dispatch described the cars as an SUV and a sedan. One occupant ended up ejected from a car while two people became pinned inside the wreckage upon impact.
Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived at the scene and then pronounced one individual dead. The other two patients ended up hurt as a result of the incident.
Medical personnel rushed them to the hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries. The names of the deceased and wounded parties have not been yet released.
Meanwhile, officers forced the area of Magnolia and Kimberlina to shut down for a time following the wreck. The cause of the fatal Wasco crash is still under investigation.
