Adult Bicyclist Suffers Head Injury
WATSONVILLE, California (May 17, 2016) — A bicyclist was seriously injured Tuesday afternoon when the rider was hit by a vehicle in front of Lakeview Middle School at 2350 State Route Highway 152/East Lake Street, a California Highway Patrol report said.
The crash took place about 2:15 p.m. this afternoon. Several vehicles pulled over in the area and a 30 to 40 year old person was found unresponsive with head injuries.
Paramedics were called to the scene to help the injured bicycle rider.
Police are investigating the cause of the crash and liability. The report did not indicate whether or not the vehicle’s driver remained at the scene and there was no description provided.
