Major Injury Collision Near Industrial Road Saturday
Watsonville, CA (January 8, 2022) – At least one person suffered serious injuries following a traffic accident that occurred on State Route 129, also known as Riverside Drive.
The California Highway Patrol group reported a big rig collided with another vehicle on the highway near Industrial Road.
Shortly after 4:17 p.m., emergency crews arrived at the crash site. First responders found a Honda Pilot pinned underneath the trailer of the truck. Firefighters lifted the trailer, and pulled out the occupants in the sedan.
Medical personnel rendered aid to all possible victims in the collision. After the evaluation, authorities confirmed at least one person sustained major trauma as a result of wreck. The name and age of the victim remained undisclosed pending confirmation.
Investigators continue to work at this time to determine the precise circumstances that led up to the traffic accident on State Route 129 in Watsonville.
