1 Injured in Watsonville Crash on Highway 1 Near Salinas Road
WATSONVILLE, CA (January 25, 2022) – One was hospitalized after a car crash on Highway 1 near Salinas Road in Watsonville.
The California Highway Patrol said the wreck took place on Tuesday afternoon. According to their dispatch, officers reported the accident at about 4:13 p.m.
The incident happened when four vehicles collided for an unknown reason in Watsonville. They crashed on northbound Highway 1, just south of Salinas Road.
Multiple Vehicles Collide
CHP described two of the cars as a white Lexus sedan and a Ford Explorer. The Lexus obtained front-end damage upon impact while two other vehicles ended up in a ditch.
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene. They found one person who sustained minor injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then took the wounded party to a hospital for treatment. The report did not disclose the name of the patient and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP forced the northbound side of Highway 1 to shut down near Salinas following the wreck. The cause of the Watsonville crash is still under investigation.
