Pedestrian Killed in Collision Near Loma Prieta Avenue
Watsonville, CA (September 22, 2022) – A pedestrian died, and two others suffered injuries following a traffic accident that occurred on South Green Valley Road.
According to KSBW News, a vehicle struck an individual in the area between Loma Prieta and Carey Avenue. Earlier reports indicated the white BMW continued after hitting the woman, and ended up crashing into an SUV on South Green Valley Road.
The catastrophic incident took place Thursday shortly before 8:30 p.m.
When emergency crews arrived at the location, they found the pedestrian unconscious. Responding paramedics performed life-saving measures to the victim but she sadly succumbed to her injuries and died. The identity of the deceased remained undisclosed pending confirmation and notification of next of kin.
2 Hospitalized After Car vs. Pedestrian Accident in Watsonville
Authorities added two occupants in the BMW sustained injuries in the crash. An ambulance transported the two patients to the hospital for further treatment and evaluation.
At this time, detectives continue to investigate exactly how and why the fatal collision happened on South Green Valley Road in Watsonville.
